 Toy Run

Every year Oxford UK Chapter hold a ride out to the Children’s Hospital at the John Radcliffe to take toys to the poorly children staying there.

For many years now we have done this in memory of Jake Spicer, who sadly passed away in 2009.

It was the 15th year since we lost Jake. We were blessed with good weather and a good turnout;  with 78 bikes counted. Our Hairy Coo pin design proved so popular that all of the pins were sold and the extras we ordered. An amazing total of £400 was raised for John Radcliffe’s Children’s Ward in Jake’s memory. Huge thanks to the Road Crew and everyone who supported the event.

Thank you to everyone who participated in the 2024 ride out in October, we had a great turn out and really appreciate everyone’s support.

SAVE THE DATE! 2025 Toy Run will take place on ?????.

This is an OPEN event for all bikers and we very much welcome and encourage riders from the wider biking community to join us

2017 Pin

In 2017 a pin was designed and sold, and we raised enough money to buy a Playstation and some games for the children in the hospital.

2018 Pin

We had a new design of pin in 2018, and we raised enough money to buy not one but TWO ovens, so as the children can have cookery lessons.

Yet again, the team on the Children’s Ward were delighted with the amount we had raised. This year they bought a colourful playmat for younger children to use.

Unfortunately, due to the Covid pandemic the annual Toy Run did not go ahead. Some pins were sold and the money raised has been carried forward to 2021.

The 2021 Toy Run pins sold out, thank you to everyone for your support. With the funds raised the hospital bought a large selection of Usbourne Books.
